Welcome to Our Lab

The staff of the Department of Laboratory Medicine, are committed to provide timely, accurate, safe and efficient laboratory services to our patients and health care providers. We are a fully accredited laboratory offering hospital-based testing in Biochemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Transfusion Medicine, Serology, Urinalysis, and ECG/Holter Monitoring with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities so that our clients can be assured of the highest quality laboratory testing.

Test Information
The Chapleau General Hospital Laboratory performs testing in the following classes as listed on the laboratory licence. Only the tests listed on the laboratory licence are performed within the laboratory. All tests that do not fall under the licence are referred to alternate testing facilities who have the capability to perform these tests. [more...]

Our History!
The laboratory originated in the Lady Minto Hospital in 1913. It was later relocated to the new and current Chapleau General Hospital site on March 16, 1976. The laboratory department is owned and operated by the Chapleau General Hospital. [more...]
