Neighbours

While in Chapleau, make a quick visit to the smaller neighbouring communities of Foleyet, Biscotasing, Sultan, Devon and Missanabie.

These towns, along with Chapleau, were staples in the Native fur trade in the days of the Hudson's Bay Company. Remnants of the communities' rail and lumber industries are also still evident, providing further insight into the history of Ontario's northern culture.

Each town has its own unique charm, and has much to offer nature lovers and those looking to get away from it all. Just a short drive away, the many additional amenities of Chapleau are easily accessible and complement the remote lifestyle of its neighbours.
