A marriage application form must be completed and signed by both parties to the marriage. The form must be submitted in person by the applicant and/or joint applicant with the appropriate documents. The marriage application can be obtained online or at the Town Hall office.

Requirements Respecting Marriage in Ontario
Two pieces of original valid identification (no copies permitted), as outlined below, must be presented for both parties in order for a marriage licence to be issued.
One (1) of the following is required for birth identification
. Original birth certificate
. Canadian citizenship card
. Record of Immigrant Landing
AND one (1) of the following is required for photo identification:
. Driver's licence
. Health card
If you are divorced, within Canada, we require the Original or a Court Certified Copy of the Certificate of Divorce or Decree Absolute, whichever applies, is required.
If you are divorced, outside of Canada, consent from the Office of the Registrar General must be obtained before the licence can be issued.
$100.00 - cash, money order, certified cheque or cheque will be accepted.
The Application will not be processed before the licence fee is paid. A marriage licence is valid for use anywhere in Ontario for a period of three (3) months from the date of issue.
Please allow a minimum of 3 days for processing time or longer. Prior appointment is recommended.
