Notice of Public Meeting

Zoning By-law Amendment 

TAKE NOTICE that the Township of Chapleau will hold a Public Meeting, pursuant to Section 34 of the Planning Act, to receive input on proposed amendments to the Approved Zoning By-law 2013-11.  The purpose of the amendment is to rezone the lands located at 217 Martel Road from Corridor Commercial Special Exception (CC-13) to Corridor Commercial (CC), and add an Office and a Laboratory or Scientific Research Facility as permitted uses in the CC Zone.

Location: Council Chambers, Civic Centre, 20 Pine Street West, Chapleau, ON

ANY PERSON may attend the Public Meeting, and make oral and/or written submissions in regards to the proposed Zoning By-law amendments. 

IF YOU WISH TO BE NOTIFIED of the passing of the proposed Zoning By-law amendment, or the refusal of a request to amend the Zoning By-law, you must make a written request to the CAO of the Township of Chapleau at 20 Pine Street West, Chapleau, ON, P0M 1K0. 

IF A PERSON OR PUBLIC BODY that files an appeal of a decision of the Council of the Township of Chapleau in respect to the proposed Zoning By-law amendments does not make oral submissions at the Public Meeting, or make written submissions to the Township of Chapleau before the proposed Zoning By-law amendments are adopted, the Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal. 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND BACKGROUND MATERIAL will be available for inspection approximately four weeks prior to the Public Meeting, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on weekdays at the Civic Centre, and available on the Township’s website at:
